Our initiatives aims to support the youth and children in rural communities in Ghana to gain access to quality education. Selected beneficiaries benefits from school uniforms, backpacks, exercise books, and other school supplies
Child Education Support
Ilmondo Association supports children in hard-to-reach communities in Ghana with educational resources such as school uniforms, school bags, sandals, stationery, and many other resources needed to ensure students can reach their full potential. As a data-driven organization, we’re continuously monitoring the effectiveness of every project, program and pilot we implement to continuously learn and iterate on our work.
Teacher Support
Teacher support is a crucial aspect of any teaching program. Ilmondo Association is working hard to change the way teachers are supported and trained, with more focus on those in rural parts of Ghana to ensure that students are learning effectively. Our teacher support program has allowed us to provide teachers with the resources they need to give students a high-quality education.
Tackling Youth Unemployment
To tackle youth unemployment, Ilmondo Association introduced the Youth Drive initiative. Youth Drive aims to empower and uplift Ghanaian youth to develop the skills needed to succeed in today’s job market. We partner with civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to offer a variety of programs that focus on entrepreneurship, job readiness, and employment opportunities across the country
Tackling Gender Bias
Ilmondo Association introduced the She Can project, an initiative that seeks to create employment opportunities for women through vocational training, technical skills training, job skills development, and mentorship programs in rural parts of the country. This initiative will hopefully contribute to reducing women’s unemployment in Ghana by providing more opportunities for young people to gain skills and find decent jobs that can elevate their living standards.
Community Sensitization
Ilmondo Association engages with the communities we work with and educates them on the need to invest in education. We do this through door-to-door visits, holding meetings, using local radio stations and other media outlets, and organizing community sensitization events. We hope that through consistent engagement with communities, it is possible to create awareness on a larger scale within a short period while creating a long-term impact.
Climate Change Education
Through our Climate Change Education programs, we aim to raise awareness about the causes and consequences of climate change. We provide educational resources, training, and workshops etc.
